Made during my internship at studio sanne dijkstra.
Multimedia-lab MK24 needed a poster for their open day. The screenprint class I was a part of, was assigned to create this poster using patterns that are either figurative, abstract, or typographic.
I really enjoyed this project because I was totally free to follow my fascination, which in this case started from ‘the mundane’ – things you see every day but never really séé.
The object with which I began was the infamous bread-clip. This object actually has a very interesting shape you normally wouldn’t pay much attention to. The following images show a selection of the process the poster design went through, from digital - to the actual screen printing.
This project really was about the visual journey, and not so much the end result, which made it really fun to do.
